About Andrea:

Ms Sanford received her Masters in Business Administration in Sustainable Business at Bainbridge Graduate Institute in 2011. Her undergraduate studies were at Oberlin College and the University of Michigan, studying literature and fine art, earning a BFA in graphic design. She is proficient in a variety of creative and technical tools and can even remember how to do an illustration on an Amiga computer. Her MBA is a reflection of her passion for sustainability, integrating environmental responsibility and social justice in business.

In 1994, Ms Sanford started She Can Do It in Washington, D.C., a production management firm specializing in publications and production support to art directors and editors. Watchdog Graphics Production is a division of She Can Do It, LLC, launching in Seattle, Washington in November 2006.

From 1995 to 1996, she was full-time onsite Production Manager during the initial launch of Discovery Channel Online, an originally produced interactive publications network, providing project management and detail-oriented coordination of schedule. Previous to starting her own business, she was production manager for the National Trust for Historic Preservation managing several national publications. She got her start in the graphic arts as a typesetter and layout artist for Designosaurus Tex in Austin, Texas.

She has worked at Woodland Park Zoo in the conservation and animal health departments since 1997 and is currently Vice President on the Board of Directors of the Snow Leopard Trust.

In her private life, Ms Sanford is besotted with her talented and hard-working Doberman pinschers, Betty and Harry. She is an avid reader, enjoys the ongoing struggle of learning the cello and competes in sprint triathlons.

Watchdog was inspired by the magnificent Vic. I am grateful to him for everything he taught me and for the quiet courage he passed on. And he never forgot to have fun.
